Today - Dorky Park and Hell on Earth!

27.10.10

There are more Turkish immigrants than Germans in Berlin. Or it seems like that. Religious and national conflicts are omnipresent. There are some unresolved social problems that have been swept under the carpet for too long. Issues such as fake tolerance, violence, lack of education and socialisation are an everyday reality. Berlin-based Argentinian choreographer Constanza Macras invited local
youth to cooperate in the project. The production tells everyday stories through live performance, film, classical dance, break dance, ethno-disco and live music. In a very emotional way, the young adults introduce themselves, examine their identity; they show how they cope with culturadiversity in their i mmigrant community buzzing with tension. Hell on Earth is a story about maturation, about dreams and hopes common to all human beings. It is also a tale of discrimination and local limitations.

Today on Main Stage. 8 p.m.!
